Great place and beautiful location. The building is from 7th century and has been renovated in a very tasteful way. The rooms are spacious and clean. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Cellular reception was weak or intermittent, but the owners have a WiFi, which you can access for 3 Euros.
The owners provide breakfast and 2-3 times a week dinner if reserved in advance. We missed out on that because we didn't know they would provide vegetarian option if requested.
Navigating with GPS to the location has a slight problem due to map update issues.
Overall, an excellent place that we would definitely go back to.

Piaggine is a wonderful place for all the persons who like nature, calm and reposal. The house is an old transformed farm with good taste keeping the tipycal and romantic aspects of the region.
A place to recommend.

This was a gorgeous place to stay nestled in the Florentine hills. The apartment was spacious and beautifully decorated in a typically Tuscan style. The owner was very friendly and hospitable. Even though we spoke on Italian, and she no English, we managed to communicate well enough. We were traveling with 4 young children 8/7/6/2 years, and they couldn't have been happier with the gorgeous pool and the beautiful olive groves that overlooked Florence and the Duomo. What a lovely place for us to explore Tuscany from and we couldn't have found more helpful and friendly hosts or lovely oil. Thank you

The villa was wonderful once we found it! The directions were not clear and after several phone calls to the agent and 60 minutes of looking for the villa, we finally arrived. We were looking for a sign on a gate which didn't exist, but the agent insisted was there. But from arrival it was fanastic!! Beautiful location, close to the village of Panzano(walking distance)in the middle of Chianti Classico Counrty.
The villa is simple but comfortable with beautiful views and sunsets. The kitche was simple, but we cooked many enjoyable meals and enjoyed eating them on the terrace watching the sun set, magic! Bedrooms are very comfortable and large.
The owner was very helpful and friendly , she had very little english, but tried very hard to make sure we where happy and didn't need for anything.
We had a great time walking through vineyards and olive groves and visiting small villages.

We had the most wonderful stay at Casa Ivan. Tuscany was beautiful and the villa was a great place to start out from and go in all directions. At the end of the day, to come back to such a beautiful house was so nice and relaxing.
Great location and such beautiful, panoramic views from there. It was just breathtaking to look at each day at these views Ivan and his family made us feel very welcome and Ophelia's food was great. Such an added treat. I wish I could go back once and year and if I could I would get this same villa each time. Thank you SO MUCH for such a good vacation.

We had a wonderful time on our vacation in Montescalari!Amazing countryside, combined with fine wine and nice people - recipe for a really great time. Not to mention all the turist points which are all relatively close ...Absolutely we will return!
Also the booking and the whole reservation process was a pleasure, special thanks go to Lucia, who did her best to find us the best location.

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay here at Villa Fontine.Your beautiful house and stunning property were greadly enjoyed. The little touches such as lovely paintings, fresh flowers in our rooms made us feel very welcome and at home.
Our boys had a wonderful time playing soccer with your family , and we really appreciate your kindness towards them. We had many exciting daytrips to the surroundings, Pisa, Lucca and spent one day in Venice.

Montelopio is situated between villages, with beautiful views of surrounding Tuscan hills. The property is beautifully kept and since this was the first nice week of warmer weather after heavy rains, trees were sprouting and flowers were blooming! The first few mornings, the temps were cool and the hills covered in fog. I loved the view from our window ~ the sun burning through the fog to reveal cypress & olive trees near by and the hills surrounding! Since this was our first visit to Tuscany, we spent most of our (1 week) time sightseeing in surrounding "tourist hotspots" - Pisa, Lucca, Siena, Arrezzo, Florence, San Gimingnano, Volterra, Livorno, Calci & San Miniato. We enjoyed the drive and scenery no matter which route we took to that day's destination. A few times we took "backroads" from Montelopio, just to see where we would end up, but never got lost as, it seemed, all the winding roads eventually connect somewhere along the way.
On this vacation!
, our days were full of walking, looking, & picture taking. Every evening, we enjoyed relaxing dinners (traditional pasta, pizza & wine) at the restaurants in Peccioli; our favorite was Via Nova where, as exhausted tourists, we were welcome and very comfortable coming in later in the evening.
Our next vacation to Montelopio WILL BE more relaxing so we can enjoy the sun, pool & views Montelopio has to offer.
Peccioli is a nice village with restraunts that we frequented every evening after a full day of sightseeing & touring in surrounding areas.The agent who greeted us was friendly and helpful answering an questions we had(Sorry, I don't recall her name). The owner, Francesco, also very friendly and HELPFUL!!! Thank you Francesco! =]
