Rented both units (La Mura #1 & #2) for two weeks and was very satisfied with the accommodations and the hospitality of the owners. Very convenient to the village of San Gimignano (walking or driving) and yet very quiet and peaceful. Roberta speaks good English to help with your questions and Mama & Papa are quite dedicated to you enjoying yourself , even if though they do't speak English. Both units were clean and comfortable.
Would recommend to any one who doesn't need a 5 Star hotel and enjoys the people as part of enjoying the culture. |

Casa Simona was a delight. Although the road to the property is more of a rough track at the end of it sits Casa Simona with the most glorious views over the Tuscan countryside. The villa itself is lovely, very clean and with modern fittings. It would possibly not be suitable for very small children as the stairs to the first floor are stone tiled. Simona and her husband are lovely and were very concerned that we enjoyed our stay. All the essentials were there for us, coffee, tea, milk, water, bread and even some chocolates, biscuits and beer. Very thoughtful and very welcoming especially as we didn't arrive until about 5.30pm. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it at all. The only downside we felt was that another bathroom would be useful if there were 2 couples and as the temperature was 30C we would have loved a fan in the bedroom.
If we were in the area again we would go back to Casa Simona. |

Everything was perfect during our stay at Bigattiera Villa.
Our 10-y.o. daughter was happy with big and clean swimming-pool.
As we are fond of travelling - we were very happy with it's central location: approx. the same distance between Firenze, Lucca, Sienna, Pisa and numerous see-resorts. |

Casa Cornelio was a fantastic place to stay and use as a base to explore Tuscany. Our host Elio was excellent and provided us with all the information and timetables necessary to visit Certaldo and its surrounds.
The apartment itself is in a great location and was very well equipped and Certaldo is very well connected.
Elio's wine tour to San Benedetto vineyard was a highlight and one of the best tour we have done .
If you arrive in June make sure you go to the Medieval Feast. It was a step back in time and we all throughly enjoyed the experience.

The property is very nice, clean, and well managed. The area(pool, football field, ping pong) is perfect. The view and environment are great. 2 slight minus; first, it is slight far from the highway if want this location as a central location to visit Toscany.
For relaxing however, it is great. Second, for urbans like us, it was very quiet, since it is very isolaled. So it depends what kind of vacation you look at. But it is a nice place and people are great.

We had a great stay at in Mercatale. The villa is high on a hill facing west looking out onto vineyards and other villas. It is remote enough be very peaceful at night, but not so far it takes forever to get around. The kitchen and bathroom are quite large and the pool is very nice. Glenn P.-St.

The house and the surroundings were perfect! The owners are very friendly and hospitable and helped us with everything we needed. The house was spotless, and the pool area also very clean. There a very good cooking facilities.The best value for money!

you are a wonderful host !
You have made our vacation to Italy a
wonderful experience.
You came to the Railways Station to guide us to Certaldo Alto: You organized the wonderful wine-tasting.
You gave us maps, showed us where to visit in Tuscany.
The “special cappuccino” were wonderful and a great welcome to Certaldo Alto.
You printed out all the train timetables we needed and you were always available to help in any way.
Elio, you make “Certaldo Alto” a “magical” place to stay with your unfailing hospitality and kindness.
I will go back to the States with wonderful tales to tell about Tuscany.
The apartment was beautiful and very clean. Also you have the best “shower” in Italy. I have been to other places in Italy and the showers are terrible – here the water strength is great!!
You are a wonderful, warm, kind man and we have enjoyed our vacation very much, thank to you.
